Volunteers
from Industry or the Community will be given powerful and nationally
approved training to allow them to become 'Reading Partners' The 'Reading
Partners' then work with the children on a regular basis within a
common structure for a ten week period. The focus is on the development
of independent reading strategies, raising the self esteem of the
children involved and helping them to achieve their COMPACT goals
This activity can link with schools literacy strategy Parents and
carers are involved in the process wherever possible |
